Firefighters rushed to a pre-dawn blaze, a fire at a vacant house was extinguished and nobody was injured. Overall, the response by Pennsauken crews could be considered a success.
There’s just one thing: Did they have to break two windows on an illegally-parked car to douse the fire?
“This person made the conscious decision to park in front of the fire hydrant. Windows can be replaced; people cannot,” Pennsauken fire Chief Jospeh Palumbo said.

I can’t believe this is even a question. Its illegal to park there for a reason.

The vehicle should not of been parked obstructing a fire hydrant. The fire department is there to put out a fire the the quickest way possible. The people who are saying couldn’t they of put the hose under the vehicle, NO, they couldn’t! The vehicle should not of been there and that would waste valuable time that could save someone’s home. Think before you write. The person should be cited by the police.

You decide to be ignorant enough to park in front of a fire hydrant and a risk the safety, life of a person and property damage. Then deal with the fact that your car gets damaged. Look in the mirror and you will see the problem 🙂
