Paralegal Earnings: Median Hourly and Annual Wages in the US 2023
According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median hourly wage for paralegals was $24.50 in January 2023. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $17.12 per hour, while the highest 10 percent earned more than $34.40 per hour.
The BLS also reports that the median annual wage for paralegals was $50,940 in May 2021. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $35,670 per year, while the highest 10 percent earned more than $71,630 per year.
It is important to note that these figures are national averages and that wages for paralegals can vary significantly depending on factors such as location, employer, level of experience, and education.
