Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC) Pind Dadan Khan Campus
Pind Dadan Khan is a town in Jhelum district and is the capital of Pind Dadan Khan tehsil, which is administrative subdivision of the district. It is situated on the bank of River Jhelum and is about 20 km from the M2 motorway. Famous personality of tehsil Pind Dadan Khan is Nazar Hayat Ichhral (Kanwal). The town was originally founded by the Khokhan clan and according to the Imperial Gazette of India, compiled over a century ago during British rule and they possessed great social distinction. They were ordinarily considered a Rajput tribe, most of them declare themselves as Jatts. Pind Dadan Khan has become chief centre of the salt range. Brass vessels are made in the town, which has also a considerable weaving industry, while its embroidered lungis are often sold at high prices. Boat-building, unglazed potteries in deep red colour, ornamented with black patterns are specialties of the town. It is also famous for making stout leather riding whips made after English patterns.
Punjab College, Pind Dadan Khan has a purpose built building in a peaceful surroundings.
