Kallurkot is the tehsil headquarter of the district, Bhakkar. Almost the whole area of the district Bhakkar including Kallurkot was once a barren desert but now it has been transformed into worth-seeing scenery by the combined efforts of the government and the local people. Kallurkot is easily approachable from all the surrounding areas by metalled roads. The economy of Kallurkot is mainly agriculture based. The main crops are grams, wheat, sugarcane, cotton and pulses. The people of the area are mostly farmers but they have strong desire that their children should get good education. Keeping in view the conditions, situation and psyche of the local people, Punjab Group of Colleges, decided to establish the college in this area to enhance the living standard of the people through education.

Punjab College, Kallurkot has a magnificent building and is situated on the most suitable site of the area which is easily approachable. Every room has AC facility and stand-by generators are there to supply non-stop flow of electricity. The campus has well equipped laboratories, a well stocked library and spacious lawns with plants and flowers everywhere. Concept based teaching supported by three dimensional science animations is our specialty. The college library has a rich collection of books on various topics and fields. The teaching faculty of the college is highly qualified, experienced and motivated to impart quality education to the students of the area. Punjab College, Kallurkot is affiliated with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sargodha and University of Sargodha.
